Recent News News Archive | XXIX FILLM Congress: Venue Proposals | 8.9.2015 | Would you like to host a FILLM Congress at your university? Here's your chance. FILLM is now looking for proposals to host its 29th Congress in 2023. FILLM Congresses explicitly seek to foster links between scholars in the developed world, the countries of which provided the original impetus to the study of medieval and modern languages and literatures in the European tradition, and researchers in developing countries who, often in difficult conditions, seek to maintain and develop both the older and newer aspects of the discipline and to apply scholarly and critical methods within their own situation. To help achieve this aim, FILLM Congresses now routinely move round the world and the federation encourages proposals from all corners of the globe. For more information about the FILLM Congresses, their aims and structure, please see here. The FILLM Committee expects to make a decision on the location of Congress at its next General Meeting on 14 March 2017 in New Delhi, India. If you have any further questions and queries or if you wish to put in a proposal, you can contact FILLM's Secretary-General, Dr. Tom Clark: tom.clark(a)vu.edu.au | |||||||||
