In the spring of 2021, former FILLM President Roger D. Sell (Åbo Akademi) decided to step down as Editor of FILLM's bookseries, FILLM Studies in Languages and Literatures (John Benjamins). On 31 May, the role was taken over by current FILLM Vice-President Haun Saussy (University of Chicago).
Sell set up FILLM Studies in Languages and Literatures in 2012 when he was President of FILLM. During his time as Editor, fifteen high-quality volumes have been published in the series on topics which reflect the broad scope of the federation.
Beyond the fifteen published volumes, Sell has had to read and assess numerous manuscripts during his editorship. It is a job that, largely, has gone unnoticed and unacknowledge but which, nonetheless, have been extremely valuable for the federation. For this, for creating the bookseries, and for his tireless dedication FILLM is forever grateful.

The series' new Editor, Haun Saussy, is already at work on the next publications and we hope to be able to present new exciting volumes in the near future.
