FILLM
is very pleased to annouce that the International Association of
Word and Image Studies (IAWIS) - in French, Association Internationale
pour l'Etude des Rapports entre Texte et Image (AIERTI)
- has joined the
federation.Below, you will find a few words of welcome from FILLM President, Adams Bodomo, as well as a brief introduction to the IAWIS/AIERTI.

The IAWIS/AIERTI will be represented on the FILLM Committee by Professor Liliane Louvel who is also currently one of FILLM's two Vice-Presidents.
Words of Welcome from FILLM President, Adams Bodomo
As FILLM President, I am excited to welcome the International Association of Word and Image Studies / Association Internationale pour l’Etude des Rapports entre Texte et Image (IAWIS/AIERTI) . IAWIS/AIERTI shares the linguistic, literary, and overall humanistic interests of FILLM through its international, interdisciplinary approaches to the analyses of language and literature. We encourage members of IAWIS/AIERTI to participate in the activities of FILLM. These activities include our Triennial Congresses of FILLM, the next of which will be held online from the University of Vienna in July 2021, where the theme will be "Linguistic, Literary, and Cultural Diversity in a Global Perspective." Future exchanges of IAWIS/AIERTI with our sister societies promise to be mutually fruitful, and we look forward to our cooperation. IAWIS/AIERTI would be particularly interested in participating in the deliberations of the European Humanities Conference in May 2021 which is being organized by the International Council of Philosophy and Human Sciences (CIPSH), of which FILLM is one of the founding members.
